Donate towards AID Tsunami Survivors' Relief Campaign

As you know, a massive tidal wave (Tsunami) struck parts of Asia and has done enormous damage in terms of lives and livelihood for the people living along the coast of India (Tamil Nadu, Andaman & Nicobar) and Sri Lanka among other places.

I am working with an organization called AID(Association for Indias Development) which is a grassroots organization with goals of alleviating poverty and suffering through specific development projects such as education, literacy, womens issues, community health, etc.

AID is in a unique position to help as it has projects with its volunteers and close partner organizations that are active in some of the worst affected areas in India including Chennai, Nagapattinam and Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu. They anticipate immediate need for shelter, food, clothing and medicines for people who are rendered homeless. Considering the massive scale of the disaster, which has wiped out entire costal villages or fishing communities, it is expected that long-term rehabilitation will require significant resources.

AID has launched a massive drive to collect funds to aid our grass root effort in the affected areas. To show solidarity with the affected people, please donate generously for the cause.
